This is my proposal for a factions race, the ESOD, I will explain more later.

I think Nielk was gonna try to get some permissions from spAce for some of his assets / assets based of his from the ESAF (European Space Assault Force) of his mod. That of course may not be the case, which would mean that this is a well welcome proposal.

I find it unlikely we will get access to that group, especially considering we would be changing them somewhat to make use of Factions tech. However, one unit of his I am after for the Americans is the Razor Mark II. I have not asked him yet.

Also note the Factions story allows for rouge groups and splintering in alliances, so both a new group and a ZE inspired one could exist at the same time.

The types of changes made to the ESAF if permission was attained would be things like, the ability to select several guns for that nice gun platform that has it tapped on and the removal of some units like the MK2 Razor. I am however afraid to ask him.

But yes, multiple forces are fine. We have the ISDF, EDF, AAN, and even a future NSDF all in existence. To the public there is a hierarchy but in space, things are going a bit badly.

Jayden is doing a lot in his first day as a Factions team member. I think he gave us a good kick in the pants to get moving.

Actually, I was thinking of making the new assets, they will look abit like the ESAF, but this group is the ESOD (European Space Offence Division), they are in a different timeline afterall.
Besides, why does Asia, Oceana and America get a faction or two and not classic old Europe, I am willing to kick start this faction with a couple of units.

Ok, After a while, I have made a ESOD Tank, the hover tank type. There will be screenies soon, I used the same technique as SpAce, the soft shadow-render to texture for the uv map, this makes shading very detailed and easy at the expense of a little for rendering time, it is the Z-10 Tank and screenies will happen ASAP, thank you, and I hope N1 likes the ESOD idea, and finally I can properly do walkers, so they will have one too.

Wow, thats incredible!

Only downside I can see is a little texture warping on the near arm.

Shocked, simply beautiful. The texture warping is easy to fix, you just need to mess around withe the UV a bit. The amazing part is there is are minute details on the texture itself, but those details are precise and just look good. (As compare to the ISDF textures which have the appearance of heavier plating over light plating and exposed circuitry, which can be too complex for some to emulate in custom textures at times.)
